Travel - By Car Related

Travelling by car can be quite cost effective. The journey is 540 miles (870km) from Calais and takes about 8½ hours. The recommended route is via Pontarlier/Lausanne, however if this route into Switzerland is unpassable due to snow conditions then diverting via Geneva is the suggested route.
